What Is The Minimum Order Amount?
Our minimum order value is £72. This allows us to offer free local delivery while keeping our prices fair and competitive. Most customers hit this amount easily when ordering logs, coal, kindling or smokeless fuel, especially if you’re stocking up for colder evenings.
Where Do You Deliver?
We deliver from Halstead, Essex, covering the surrounding areas including Colchester, Chelmsford, Braintree, Sudbury and nearby villages. If you’re a little further afield, don’t worry, as delivery may still be possible by arrangement. Just ask the team at County Logs and Coal.
How Quickly Can You Deliver?
Delivery is usually completed within two working days. During busier times or colder months, it may take up to four working days, but we’ll always aim to get your fuel to you as quickly as possible.
Is Delivery Free?
There is a minimum delivery order fee, but free local delivery is included on all orders over £72, which nearly all customers spend. Our friendly team at County Logs and Coal is also happy to place your fuel neatly into your shed or bunker, where access allows, no heavy lifting required on your part.
Are Your Logs Kiln-Dried?
They certainly are. All of our logs are kiln-dried, meaning they have a low moisture content and burn efficiently with excellent heat output and minimal smoke.
Can I Burn Your Logs Straight Away?
Absolutely. Our kiln-dried logs arrive ready to burn, so there’s no waiting around, just light, relax and enjoy the warmth. It’s one of the reasons customers return to County Logs and Coal time and time again.
Where Do Your Logs Come From?
All of our logs are sourced from Woodsure–approved suppliers, ensuring responsible forestry and consistently high-quality firewood.
What Type Of Fuel Do You Sell?
We supply a full range of home heating fuels, smokeless fuel, kiln-dried logs and kindling. Everything is available for convenient home delivery, from county logs and coal.
What Is Smokeless Fuel?
Smokeless fuel is a cleaner-burning alternative to traditional coal. It’s designed for use in smoke control areas when burned in a suitable appliance.
Can I Use Smokeless Fuel In A Smoke Control Area?
Yes, you can use our smokeless fuels in smoke control areas as they are suitable for smoke control zones when used in appliances approved for smokeless fuel.
Can I Burn Wood And Coal Together?
This depends on your stove or fireplace. Some appliances allow mixed fuels, while others don’t, so it’s always best to check the manufacturer’s guidance before combining fuels.
Do You Sell Kindling?
We do! Quality kindling is available to help get your fire going quickly and easily, alongside our logs and solid fuels.
Do I Need To Be Home For Delivery?
Not always. As long as a safe and clearly marked drop-off location is arranged in advance, you don’t need to be home when we deliver.
